- Gas sitting for months at a time will turn and coat the inside of the carburetor with varnish. You would be able to smell varnish. If this is the case, a good cleaning of the carburetor, gas tank and fuel line is required.
- Nitrophyl and brass floats are measured the same when setting the float level.
- Specifications can be different depending on application and possibly carburetor number. Verify your setting with either your motors manual, or specification sheet from the carb kit.
- When taking main jets in and out try putting a paper towel over the end of the screw drive which will take up some of the slack in the jet slot. This is very handy when trying to fish a jet to the bottom of the bowl.
