Carter B&B Identification

Replace your carburetor with this universal carburetor:

If you happen to have a BBR-1 type then you probably won’t have the razor back as I call it, that goes from the top of the carburetor down to the float bowl at a 45 degree angle. This is where the carburetor number is normally stamped. So if you have the BBR-1 and there is no tag, then all you can do is match up the old parts with our pictures. I would suggest finding the carburetor kit by application here, then compare the parts. There is a chance that you have the original carburetor, but don’t count on it. Pay close attention to the throttle body gasket. There can be suttle differences. Don’t generalize.
